The Hale Kolea Cabin was the perfect place for my husband and I to get away. It is a smooth blend of modern amenities in a classic Alaskan setting, that are great to come back to after a day of skiing/snowshoeing. We even chose to stay in for one of the nights, and cook in the fantastic kitchen, that was obviously constructed by foodies with a gas stove and full spice rack. We will definitely be back for another trip. Thank you for such a great stay!!!

My friend and I stayed in this beautiful cabin for 3 days and it was wonderful. The management company met us upon arrival and the owner was always within a phone call and made sure we knew that. Talkeetna is a beautiful town and the cabin is within walking distance. The cabin has everything and anything you can imagine. Very comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen with stainless and quartz, a walk in shower and washer and dryer. We were so comfortable and happy. When I travel to Alaska again I will make a trip to Talkeetna just to stay at this beautiful cabin. I just wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Loved it!

This was quite a surprise. I saw the pictures, but they don't quite do the cabin justice. This is an immaculate cabin with all the amenities of a 4 star hotel. The bathroom is exceptional, especially the shower. The most amazing thing about the cabin though I think is the temperature control. We were in Talkeetna during record heat, with temps in the mid and upper 90's for 3 days straight. When we arrived, the cabin was 62 degrees. Perfect after being out in the heat all day and especially for sleeping, we didn't turn on the heat. The next 2 days the temps reached 91 and 95 respectively, but the cabin never got above 72 degrees. Simply amazing! Nestled in the trees it is shielded from the sun, and is always comfortable. Anyway, this is awesome place and if we return to Talkeetna will definitely stay again!

I run Alaska Yoga Retreats and we used the Hale Kolea cabin as the retreat leaders sanctuary and it sure did the trick! The weather was scorching in the 90s while we were there and the cabin stayed nice and cool on the inside. We also prepare a lot of meals for our group, so we used the kitchen a lot and it was well equipped beyond our expectations. I plan on reserving the cabin already for our retreat next year! Every last detail was thoughtful and greatly appreciated.

Hale Kolea Cabin in Talkeetna, Alaska is located in a quiet neighborhood that is a short distance from the bustling downtown area. The cabin is beautifully appointed, well kept and very comfortable. The shower is amazing; the washer and dryer a welcome benefit. Richard was friendly and easy to work with. Our stay was very relaxing and we would definitely stay at the cabin again if we return to the Talkeetna area. We highly recommend the Roadhouse for breakfast...homemade bread, thick, crispy bacon, the best sourdough pancakes and wonderful pastries.

We stayed at the Hale Kolea Cabin on the recommendation of a friend. Gotta say, it's Paradise in Talkeetna. The cabin is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown Talkeetna, the Gateway to Denali. When we arrived at the Cabin, we were greeted by Naomi, the Cabin manager and contact person. She was friendly and offered a lot of helpful information. The Cabin itself is a year old and beautifully appointed with Hawaiian touches. We liked the open concept layout and modern conveniences. The Cabin is nicer than my house! The kitchen is fully equipped with SS appliances, cookware, dishes, etc. It has everything a cook could need...even spices and oils. We enjoyed quite a few great meals right here at the Cabin. It rained quite a bit during our stay so we appreciated the WiFi and Netflix connections. On those chilly nights, the cabins heater quickly warmed the space and kept it toasty. The beds are SO comfortable, it was tough to get up and get moving in the morning. The river rock shower is nice touch...bringing the outdoors in. There's even a washer and dryer for those on a longer holiday. I'd say the owners of Hale Kolea Cabin did a great job setting up the space. I'm glad it's available for rental and would stay here again in the future. I'm sure you'll enjoy your holiday too!

My wife and I were able to once again experience Talkeetna and for the first time stay at this wonderful cabin. It was perfect for us and an easy walk to downtown Talkeetna. If you are looking for an extremely clean and tastefully decorated place to stay this is it. We would highly recommend it!!

My wife and I are Alaska residents, from Palmer, and we were looking for a close weekend getaway to one of our favorite destinations; Talkeetna. We are picky in our selection of hotels, rental condos, rental cabins, etc. as we are pretty familiar with the areas we like to visit. This property met our expections fabulously and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is situated in a well developed residential area of Talkeetna, but is still able to maintain a satisfactory level of privacy. We had no issues with outside noise during our stay. Inside the cabin is well appointed with modern amenities, new furnishings, modern electronics such as flat screen tv, and internet access, a great, clean bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The inside of the cabin was very clean and quite comfortable. During our stay outdoor temps were in the high 80's and low 90's and inside the cabin was cool and comfortable. The hawaiian theme that is throughout the cabin is unique and a nice touch to make the cabin stand out. The owners have done a marvelous job of building and maintaining a quality rental cabin and this one is head and shoulders above most that you will find in Alaska. We will definitely return for future stays!!

This is a great little place, just a few minutes outside downtown Talkeetna and very close to the airstrip where all the flightseeing tours are located. It's brand new so very clean and equipped with wifi, Blu-Ray player, big fridge, washer/dryer, etc. Very comfortable bed. Highly recommended, especially for couples since it's just one large room.

My wife and I loved this place. The owner (who lives in Hawaii) and the caretaker (who stays nearby) were both very friendly and accessible. The interior design itself is open and spacious, and you can tell that a great deal of thought was put into every item in the place. The attention to detail was impressive. Admittedly, I expected to be a little turned off by the Hawaiian theme, but ended up really appreciating the aesthetic: it was both subtle and tasteful and did not feel at all out of place. We also liked the dark hardwood flooring in the main room, exposed rock flooring in the shower, sliding doors for the bathroom and the laundry room, and the surprisingly decent Blue Ray movies they left for viewing. This cabin was just about perfect. Topping it off, we received our cleaning deposit just a few hours after we checked out. Highly recommended.

We stayed in this immaculate and comfortable cabin for three nights just before Christmas. From the minute we stepped in the door we knew we had made a great choice. The cabin seamlessly blends rustic and modern as well as Alaskan and Hawaiian in a tasteful and even elegant way. The kitchen area is well equipped and beautiful, the bathroom shower is like a spa, the bed is comfortable, and everything about this rental is both functional and high quality, right down to the dimmer switches and flameless candles flickering on the windowsills. The location is a quiet neighborhood within pleasant walking distance of town. The hosts are most accommodating, and we highly recommend this as the perfect place to call home while visiting Talkeetna!
