Testimonials

We have stayed at the the Eye of Denali a few times now. We love it because it's just like having our own place in Alaska....all to ourselves. We don't have to worry about other guests, we can cook our own food and not have to worry about when places close, or having a late night snack. We can hang out together in the living room...and then everyone has their own bedroom. We like this way more than staying in your typical hotel. And in the summer...hanging down at the river...lounging in the hammock. Really...what more could you ask for?

We had a great stay at the Eye of Denali in Talkeetna in January. Although the weather was terribly cold outside we were cozy and warm inside. This large (3 bedroom) cabin was perfect for our family and the price is right. It has a large open style living, dining kitchen area perfect for hanging out with family. We had fun cooking our meals and having family time There are nice big windows that look out onto the river and the Mt. McKinley. It was really beautiful! I wish we could have stayed longer and I hope to come back again someday. Next time hopefully in the summer so we can ride the bikes that are available for guests to use.

"This place was awesome" My husband and I were traveling with another couple and we both stayed only one night here and was sorry we couldn't stay longer. Clean, bright, comfortable. The owners have several bicycles for use - we enjoyed riding along the trail near the train. It was quiet and truly peaceful. We brought our own food and was happy to see the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our dinner and to clean up (including a dishwasher). The beds were really comfortable too. I would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I needed to 'debrief' from our hectic work schedule in anchorage. We were able to rent the entire main building to ourselves and relax in the backyard and listen to the river. The Eye is close enough to Talkeetna to walk but far enough to feel like you are in the sticks! It's a rustic cabin feel with all the amenities.

My wife and I highly recommend the Eye of Denali if you are planning to visit the Talkeetna area. We have been going to the Alaska for the past six summers and we make sure that we have this wonderful cabin reserved each season. It is within walking distance of everything in the quaint village of Talkeetna. We like staying her because of the convenience to town but also the privacy of having your own cabin on the river. It really is a great spot! ....and make sure you visit the historic Fairview Inn while you are in Talkeetna.
