Local basket weaver Peg Foster will teach students how to create a basket that is both beautiful and functional. Woven with oak splits and oval reed. Saturday & Sunday, 10 am - 3 pm. Cost $150 (before 1/20), $175 (after 1/20). Includes materials for basket (pack harness not provided).

The Talkeetna Roadhouse is hosting another evening of wine tasting and food pairings...but with a kick! The Denali Dames - our local Can Can ladies - will be on hand to serve and give a preview of their performance later that evening at the Complexities of Love Valentines Variety Show. Tasting begins at the Roadhouse at 5:30pm and you'll be out in time to catch the 8pm show at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Reservations required and may be made by phoning 733-1351.

Are you wondering where you are going to enjoy your special Valentines Dinner? Come join us Saturday, February 11th at Twister Creek Restaurant for a fantastic Valentines evening. We will be serving a delicious five course dinner. You will have the exciting opportunity to try new Denali Brewing Company beers as an optional beer pairing. It will be a dinner to remember! Local archaeologist, Jonathan Durr, will give an update on recent digs in the Upper Susitna Valley. Event is free of charge and begins at 6pm at the Talkeetna Roadhouse.
