Description

Home of the 65 mile atv adventure or try our 3-hour ATV tour includes the travel time to and from your lodging of approximately 1 hour. The other 2 hours include putting on gear, instructional time, and actual driving time on your tour. Pick-ups are free within a 30 mile radius of our office site.

Enjoy the stories of our local guides as we transport you to the trailhead of your ATV adventure. Listen to the tales of how we live through the winter. Beginners are welcome as everyone receives practice time with individual operational and safety instructions. Our oldest guest so far on this tour was 82 years old.

Safety is very important to us. We start by spending a few minutes making sure that everyone is able to drive solo and ride safely. You must be able to drive your own ATV and there will never be two passengers on one ATV. You must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license.

We provide helmets, gloves, eye protection, rainboots, and raingear. Most of our guests wear the raingear even when it is not raining to protect their clothing. The supplied raingear allows guests to book our tour for the last hours they may be here and still catch the bus or train afterwards wearing a clean set of clothes. Helmets must be worn at all times and drivers shall take their personal shoes off and wear the supplied rainboots. For your personal safety, all helmets, boots, and eye protection are sanitized after each use. All gloves and raingear are washed after each use.

Our ATVs are 4-wheel drive Yamaha Grizzly models. They are automatic and are simple to drive, even for beginners, men or women.

On this tour each guide will have no more than 6 guests. We can accept up to 12 guests . When we leave for our tour all of our guests will be following behind their guides. At no time are you allowed to leave your guide. We purposely keep our groups small so that our guide can watch over you while you have fun at the same time.

This tour is great for those guests who have limited time but still want to get out and experience the backwoods of Alaska. Bring your camera because we are always on the lookout for wildlife. While we cannot guarantee that you will see wildlife, we do frequently see grizzly bears, black bears, and moose on our tours in the Alaska wilderness. So come have fun with us and be a part of our family. Our guides are all local Alaskans who also supply information about the plants and animals living in our area.
