Description

Gate Creek Cabins is located near the premier tourist destination sites in Alaska: Denali National Park and Denali State Park. We are centered in the Petersville Foothills the most popular area in Alaska for snow machine enthusiasts. With year round road access, just 10.5 scenic miles off the Parks Highway, Gate Creek Cabins is situated overlooking two small ADF&G stocked trout lakes. The peaceful setting offers guests nearby panoramic views of Mt. McKinley just 30 air miles away. We have eight log or custom crafted cabins ranging from one to four bedrooms. Cabins sleep between 6 and 10 persons and have private indoor bath facilities, and full kitchens. Most cabins have decks with picnic tables and BBQ grills. Clean, comfortable, and romantic cabins are completely furnished. In the summer, we have excellent trout fishing, beautiful lawns and gardens. In winter, we offer snowmobile tours and rent snowmobiles. Take the Parks Highway to Mile114.5, turn west onto Petersville Road, then 10.5 miles to South Towns Place Road, take a right and go approximately 1/4 mile.

Testimonials

We have never been to a more beautiful place in all our lives! We loved everything about our stay at Gate Creek Cabins. Everything was perfect--the cabin, the lawn and flower beds, the beauty of the whole area and the weather! The canoes and kayaks were so much fun for the whole family. It was worth it to come all this way! Thank you Duane & Sandy!

Wonderful views of Mt. McKinley from Petersville Road, kayaking on the lake, even a moose sighting. We have had a great, relaxing time here with our hospitable hosts, Sandy & Duane. Thanks for the campfire and the tasty 'smores'!!.

The minute we walked in we wanted to move in. Born and raised in this great state, we have been to other friends' fishing cabins and lodges. Sorry, friends, this one beats yours by far! We are already planning another trip and haven't even gotten on our snow machines to play yet. We love how private this cabin is and right on the lake. I am sure other cabins are just as nice. The owners are great, and have everything you could want in a getaway playground.

We are from Michigan and decided to take a cruise for our 5th anniversary. So we cruised up from Vancouver, BC on the Norwegian Cruise Line northbound to Whittier, Alaska on the Inside Passage. What beautiful sites we saw! Then, decided to spend a couple of days in Alaska before going back home. I am so glad we did. This is a wonderful place to stay at. It was so quiet and peaceful. As I got up our last day here, I looked out the window and there stood a moose looking back at me. Wow! I loved staying here and would pack my bags and move here in a heartbeat! We got to see moose, bear, and a red fox while here. I am so glad I found this place online! I hope to come back again some day. P.S. I just wished I would have stayed longer!!

This was so far the most beautiful and quiet place we stayed on our trip through Alaska. Thank you so much for sharing this hidden gem with us.
